Why am I teaching Yoga?
Yoga came as a blessing in my life. I want to share it with the world to help & aid them in bringing about a change in their lives mentally, physically & spiritually. Discipline, kindness, humility, patience, time-management are just some of the virtues which Yoga helped me imbibe. Meeting new people, motivating others to do better are some of the things I enjoy. You must experience my class to believe it :)
I discovered yoga while I was working in a corporate setup. I was disillusioned by the corporate world & was looking for something more meaningful. Yoga came into my life as a stress buster & also helped me realize how embarrassingly stiff and unfit my body is . The process to get better & healthier kept me going. Soon I quit my job & landed at a yoga school. After completing my teacher training course, I got trained by several renowned teachers from across the country. At present, I teach Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Pre-natal Yoga, Post-natal Yoga, Chair Yoga, Sound Meditation & Pranayamas. I also got trained as a Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy counselor to hone my skills.
For me, yoga is about the balance between strength and flexibility, exertion & relaxing. Hence, my classes combine all of it in a dynamic flow. Expect to move, sweat & breathe.
Apart from yoga, I am a MBA graduate specializing in Human Resources, a B.Tech graduate specializing in Computer Science & a passionate artist. I find solace on my yoga mat while painting acts a meditative tool for me.
